Every year the Friends work diligently with the staff at McCormick’s Creek State Park to host annual events that people have come to know and love. The Friends contribute by providing volunteers, financial assistance, and planning. Click on the events to the right to learn more.
First Day Hike

Pictured here are a group of hikers excited to get outside on a sunny winter day. There is always a great turn-out for the First Day Hike on January 1st.
There are many ways for a Friend to get involved with this event. You can hike, participate in the photography contest, or volunteer to help with providing post hike snacks or visitor information.

Holiday Quilts at the Creek
The Friends hosted their first annual holiday quilt show at the Canyon Inn in December 2024. Quilters from across the state were invited to create a quilt and have it judged by People’s Choice. It was a successful fundraiser and we are excited for 2025!
